Wives and girlfriends of Winnipeg Jets players are going retro this year to raise funds for a charity as part of their annual holiday fundraiser.
A holiday card package of seven cards each will raise funds for Can Do People, an organization that promotes and fosters the growth of individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
There are four different sets of cards, featuring either a photo from a player’s youth, or an original drawing created by the player or their family.
The cards will sell for $14.99 and be available at all Jets Gear locations beginning Saturday, November 26. Jets’ wives and girlfriends will also sell them on the MTS Centre concourse November 27 and 29 at Winnipeg’s next two home games.
The cards are expected to raise $15,000 for Can Do People, just one of the different charities the wives and girlfriends support each holiday season.
