The city’s annual snow route parking ban takes effect at 2 a.m. Thursday.

From December 1 to March 1, vehicles may not park on streets designated as snow routes between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Snow routes are a top priority for snow clearing to ensure that emergency vehicles can navigate quickly and safely around the city.

Those parked on a snow route between the above hours may risk a $100 ticket and a tow.

A declared snow route parking ban and residential parking ban only go into effect if additional snowfall requires plowing of a snow route outside of the designated hours, or if residential streets need clearing.
