A 33-year-old Winnipeg woman who was overdue from a hike on the Mantario Trail has been safely located.
RCMP tweeted the woman is suffering from mild hypothermia at around 3 p.m. Friday.
The avid hiker was overdue when she didn’t return by Thursday afternoon. She was scheduled to hike the Mantario Trail to Mantario Lake to camp for the night when she left on Wednesday.
RCMP say her car was parked at the entrance to the Mantario Trail and she was well prepared for the elements with food and shelter.
RCMP Search and Rescue, the Office of the Fire Commissioner and Search and Rescue Manitoba are on scene.
