The Winnipeg Goldeyes are pitching in to help Winnipeg Harvest during this busy time of year.
Staff from the baseball club’s front office, including mascot Goldie, will help assemble holiday cheer packages at the food bank on Tuesday morning.
“We are thrilled at the support we have had from the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball club over the years,” said David Northcott, executive director of Winnipeg Harvest.
“Their commitment to us is plenty. Their holiday volunteering at Winnipeg Harvest, taking donations for ‘Tin for the Bin’ at each home game, and helping equip school age children with school supplies shows their dedication and commitment to helping others in need.”
The 2016 American Association championship trophy will be on display from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and Goldeyes’ fans who make a food donation to Winnipeg Harvest on December 13 will receive a free championship team photo. The Goldeyes will also present a donation to Winnipeg Harvest on behalf of the Winnipeg Goldeyes Field of Dreams Foundation.
