Witnesses Sought After Woman Hit by Snowplow Near HSC

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a woman in her 60s was struck by a piece of snow-clearing equipment on December 16, 2016.

The woman was walking in the 700 block of William Avenue across from the Health Sciences Centre emergency entrance at around 4:40 p.m. A sidewalk snow-removal machine struck her as it travelled westbound on William Avenue. The woman was attempting to cross William Avenue at the pedestrian crosswalk at the time.

She remains in hospital and has been upgraded to stable condition.
