A Manitoba RCMP officer is facing assault charges following an IIU investigation.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba says the charges stem from when a man was injured while in custody in Oxford House, Manitoba in February.
The IIU determined there were reasonable grounds to believe a criminal offence occurred.
The constable with Oxford House RCMP was arrested on Friday and released on a promise to appear in Thompson court on June 23.
