Traffic is being rerouted west of Portage la Prairie after a semi-trailer truck hit the Highway 1A overpass over the weekend.
A westbound semi caused structural damage Friday evening after its load hit the overpass at around 7:30 p.m.
Manitoba Infrastructure inspected the overpass, along with PR 240 and PTH 1A on the east side of Portage la Prairie, and no further issues were found.
All entering and exiting Portage is being rerouted to PR 240 for the time being.
Officials expect to have at least one lane of traffic reopen on the overpass within 48 hours.
