Woman Injured After Being Shot in the Back with Pellet Gun

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — A woman received minor injuries Monday night when she was shot in the back with a pellet gun.

Winnipeg police say the shooting happened at around 6:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue.

The tactical support team responded and arrested a 17-year-old girl who had fled the scene.

The victim didn’t require hospitalization.

The teen has been charged with several weapons offences and three counts of failing to comply with a sentence.

She remains in custody.
