WINNIPEG — A woman died in hospital Thursday after being assaulted in the 400 block of William Avenue earlier in the night.
Police say officers found the woman unconscious and with serious injuries at around 6:45 p.m. She was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later died.
A man was also injured and received first aid from responding officers. He remains in hospital in critical condition.
