The agency that investigates police officers on and off duty is probing the case of a Manitoba RCMP officer alleged to have carried out lewd conduct at a Winnipeg hotel.
The Independent Investigation Unit was notified on December 5 that a female officer attending a conference on November 30 committed a number of instances of inappropriate sexual touching. The incident is alleged to have occurred during a social gathering at a hotel and lounge.
The IIU will be conducting a full investigation into the matter.
