A parking app meant to ease the lives of drivers across the Canada has rolled out to Winnipeg.
Imperial Parking Canada Corporation (Impark) has flipped the switch locally on hangTag. The app locates parking facilities on a map, allowing motorists to view lot details, get driving directions and pay for parking without going to the meter.
“We’re confident that parkers will appreciate the new search features, and with the ability to easily add more time as needed, they can park with the peace of mind that they won’t overstay,” said Gordon Craig, Impark’s president of Canadian operations.
“In addition, we know that being able to access parking receipts from the app is an easy and secure way to track those business expenses.”
The hangTag app first launched at Impark facilities in Vancouver in August, and has since expanded to more than 860 Impark locations across Canada.
Aside from Winnipeg, the app is available for parking lots in the B.C. Lower Mainland, Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, Whistler, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax. Future expansion plans will include parking facilities in the United States.
