Canad Inns Winter Wonderland (HANDOUT)
If skating at The Forks doesn’t fit into your weekend schedule, perhaps lacing up at Canad Inns Winter Wonderland is more your jam.
The Red River Exhibition opened the skating rink to visitors on Friday, allowing free use with regular admission to the holiday light show.
“Skating, sleigh rides, holiday lights and festive statues, there is so much to see and do at Canad Inns Winter Wonderland. We love seeing families come out to kick-start their holidays here,” said Garth Rogerson, Red River Exhibition, CEO.
Canad Inns Winter Wonderland is Manitoba’s largest drive-thru light show with 26 different theme areas spanning 2.5 kilometres.
The lights are on nightly from 6-10 a.m. until January 6, 2018 (closed Christmas Day).
Advance discounted tickets are available for $12 at any Canad Inns Winnipeg location, Red River Co-op grocery store and gas bar or Mac’s convenience stores. Tickets are $15 for each family vehicle at the gate.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to KidSport Manitoba and the Red River Exhibition Foundation.
