From today until March 15, 2018, southbound Tache Avenue between Provencher Boulevard and Despins Street will be closed for river stabilization work.
The Tache Promenade project will allow for the northbound lane on Tache Avenue to remain open. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the east sidewalk. Additional lane closures will be required in the summer of 2018 for sidewalk widening and pedestrian belvedere construction.
The project will feature a widened promenade-style walkway and pedestrian belvedere, commonly known as a lookout, elevated above the riverbank that incorporates public art.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route and to plan for additional travel time to reach their destinations.
