WINNIPEG — A 25-year-old man remains in critical condition in hospital after being shot by police early Tuesday.
Details on what led to the shooting are unclear, with police only saying they were called to the 400 block of Charles Avenue at around 12:15 a.m. A man confronted police upon arrival and was subsequently shot.
No officers were injured during the incident.
The victim has since undergone surgery.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba will oversee the investigation.
