WINNIPEG — The duck pond skating rink is now open at Assiniboine Park.
The Assiniboine Park Conservancy says the adjacent duck pond shelter is also operational and includes accessible washrooms, picnic tables, rubber mats and a toasty fireplace. The shelter is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The nearby toboggan hill has also opened to sledders for the winter season.
All the outdoor amenities are surrounding by lights, and weather permitting, starlight.
