Brandon Taxicab Driver Head-Butted by Aggressive Passenger

Brandon Police Service CrestA Brandon taxicab driver was head-butted on Thursday after a non-paying customer became irate when asked to leave his vehicle.

Brandon police responded to the 100 block of Princess Avenue at around 12:05 a.m. and found the driver bleeding from his forehead.

They say the passenger was aggressive and broke a window in the cab after punching it. The driver exited his cab and told the man to stop when he was head-butted. The intoxicated 40-year-old passenger was arrested for assault and mischief under $5,000.

He will attend court in February.

The driver was treated for a cut to his head and released from hospital.
