WINNIPEG — Skaters can now glide down the Assiniboine River from The Forks to the Osborne Street Bridge.
The Red River Mutual Trail opened its second leg of the trail on Tuesday to extend it to 1.5 kilometres.
Crews hope to extend the trailer to a minimum of six kilometres on both the Red and Assiniboine rivers. All on-land rinks and trails at The Forks are already groomed and open for the season.
Updates on trail conditions will be communicated on theforks.com/skate and @RRMTrail on Twitter.
