Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Man’s Body in the Maples

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg has recorded its first homicide of 2018 with the death of a man in the Maples area.

Hossein Lotfi, 77, was found deceased in a home in the 100 block of Manila Road on Tuesday evening.

Police say they were led to the discovery following a traffic stop in the area of St. Anne’s Road and Fermor Avenue at around 8 p.m.

The homicide unit is investigating and ask anyone who had contact with Lotfi in the days leading up to his death to call police at (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
