Winnipeg Restaurants Compete for Best Fried Chicken Creation

January 15, 2018 9:13 AM | News

Fried Chicken FestSomething crispy is breaking onto Winnipeg’s food scene later this week… and it’s called Fried Chicken Fest!

The inaugural event pits local restaurants against each other to see who can fry up the best batch of chicken. From January 21-28, a handful of eateries will compete to serve up the most delicious fried chicken to hungry foodies across the city.

“Winnipeg’s food scene is diverse, and our chefs are creative — Fried Chicken Fest gives us a way to show off both of these,” said Chef Allan Pineda, co-organizer of Fried Chicken Fest.

“With the cold weather, Fried Chicken Week is the perfect way to encourage people to get out and experience the best of Winnipeg’s food scene with friends and family.”
