A taxi driver was stabbed and robbed after his fare told him to pull over near The Pas last week.
RCMP say it happened January 8 when the driver picked up a 15-year-old boy on Bell Avenue south of The Pas. The passenger told him to pull over and that’s when police say the attack happened.
The driver was repeatedly stabbed on Young Point Road after requesting the passenger pay for the ride. He was also robbed of cash and the suspect fled.
A passerby stopped to assist the 30-year-old driver, who suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated in hospital.
RCMP located the boy, a resident of The Pas, and have charged him with aggravated assault and robbery. He remains in custody.
