The Lion, the Witch, and the WardrobeThe latest Manitoba Theatre for Young People production will take audiences on a trip to Narnia.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a one-hour adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia, from C.S. Lewis’ timeless series.

“For me, one of my favourite things about this story is how something ordinary, like a wardrobe, can be the gateway to a magical realm,” said director Andraea Sartison.

“It makes me think of playing as a child, that mundane objects could set your mind off on an adventure. They could be the foundation for a whole day or week of playing in your own made up world.”

In the play, the Pevensie siblings travel to the land of Narnia through an enchanted wardrobe where talking animals, mythical creatures, grand adventure, and a great quest await them.

The show is friendly for children ages 5+ and will run January 26-28 and February 3-4 at the MTYP mainstage at The Forks. Tickets are on sale now by calling (204) 942-8898 or by visiting MTYP.mb.ca.
