Thieves After Snowmobiles in La Salle: RCMP

RCMP are investigating the theft and attempted theft of several snowmobiles in La Salle, Manitoba.

A homeowner found a suspect in his garage early Thursday trying to steal a snowmobile. He was scared off and fled in a white pickup with three other males.

Police received a report later the same morning of a homeowner who noticed his sled trailer lock had been tampered with as well as the garage door. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

A third homeowner reported his garage door was damaged and two snowmobiles missing.

Police say it’s important that garage doors are locked and sleds are secured on a locked trailer.

Anyone with information is asked to contact their local RCMP Detachment or call Manitoba Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
