Manitoba Liberal leader Dougald Lamont
Manitoba Liberal leader Dougald Lamont is heading out for a tour of Western Manitoba over the coming days.
Lamont will visit residents in Boissevain, Virden, Brandon, Neepawa, Rossburn, Dauphin, and Swan River before finishing in The Pas for the Trapper’s Festival.
Lamont says the goal of his trip will be to introduce himself to Manitobans. He expects to cover all 57 constituencies this year.
While on the road, he will focus on the proposed Manitoba Hydro rate hikes of 65 percent, and the recent changes to the province’s health-care system.
Lamont will return to Winnipeg for the opening of Festival du Voyageur on February 16 before heading to northern Manitoba, where he will visit Flin Flon and Thompson during the last week of February.
