Mathews was 3-2 with a 2.63 ERA in 33 relief appearances last year. The Glendora, California native allowed 36 hits, walked 20, and struck out 33 in 41.0 innings pitched.

“Both Zack and Kenny played big roles on our club last year,” said Goldeyes’ manager Rick Forney. “I’m hoping they can provide quality innings for us in 2018.”

The Goldeyes now have 16 players under contract for the 2018 season.
