Brave souls will plunge themselves into chilly water on Saturday in support of Special Olympics Manitoba.

The 2018 Polar Plunge ?Freezin’ For A Reason? is an annual event organized by the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR).

This year’s presenting sponsor, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, will see general manager Kyle Walters and head coach Mike O’Shea take the plunge in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Manitoba sports programs.

Saturday’s plunge begins at 2 p.m. outside the Pinnacle Club at Investors Group Field.

Eighty Manitobans plunged last year and helped raise more than $25,000 for the cause. Those interested in plunging themselves or making a donation can visit manitobaletr.ca.
