Winnipeg police have laid charges against the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash that injured a cyclist last spring.
The two-vehicle crash happened May 31, 2017 at the intersection of Fermor Avenue and St. Mary’s Road. One of the vehicles struck a cyclist, pinning the rider underneath and sending them to hospital in critical condition. The driver of one of the vehicles was transported in stable condition.
A 63-year-old woman has now been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm. She was released on a promise to appear.
Police say the victim was released from hospital after extensive treatment.
