A lost hour of sleep this weekend means an extra hour of daylight.

Daytime saving time returns early Sunday, March 11, when clocks will advance by one hour.

The official time change to daylight saving time occurs at 2 a.m., when clocks should be set ahead to 3 a.m.

Under The Official Time Act, daylight saving time begins on the second Sunday in March and continues until the first Sunday in November.

Firefighters also remind you to change batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors at this time.
