Winnipeg singer-songwriter Randy Bachman is the focus of a new documentary showcasing his life as an iconic Canadian musician.
“Bachman” will premiere at the upcoming 2018 Hot Docs Festival in Toronto and take viewers into Bachman’s early days, to his time with “The Guess Who” and “Bachman-Turner Overdrive,” to present day.
“I’m thrilled for audiences to see this film because it will give them a better understanding of the man that has created the soundtrack to their lives,” said director John Barnard.
“Randy’s life as an artist pursuing his love of music is an inspiration to everyone.”
Bachman, which will screen at Hot Docs May 2-4, is produced for CBC’s Documentary Channel in Canada and features archival footage and new interviews with friends, family and fans including Neil Young, Alex Lifeson, Chris Jericho, Peter Frampton, Buffy Saint-Marie, Tal Bachman, Fred Turner, Paul Shaffer and others.
