Assiniboine Park Lyric Theatre and Pavilion (APC / HANDOUT)
The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is recruiting volunteers for the busy summer season, looking to fill roles at a variety of locations across the park and zoo.
About 150 volunteers are needed, with at least half of those going to youth aged 14 to 19.
“Once again this year we have a couple of positions that are particularly suited to volunteers in the youth age category,” Shaun Leonoff, manager, volunteer resources at Assiniboine Park Conservancy.
“These provide a great opportunity to gain experience in a work environment and earn community service hours.”
Volunteer positions are open to anyone aged 16 years or older with the exception of the Zoo Camp Crew position that is open to youth aged 14 and older.
Current volunteer opportunities include ambassadors, interpreters, visitor services concierge, special event assistants, and zoo camp crew.
