What’s the buzz on the latest mosquito-fighting techniques? Experts in that very field are gathering in Winnipeg this week to find out.
The city is hosting the 14th annual Meeting of the North Central Mosquito Control Association (NCMCA) April 5-6, gathering minds from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Western Ontario.
The association promotes safe, effective mosquito control, and will hear the latest research, share ideas, and form collaborations in addition to exhibitors showcasing their products on the cutting-edge of this ever-expanding field.
Professor Dr. Randy Gaugler from Rutgers University will be the event’s keynote speaker, sharing insights on various research projects from his lab in the session entitled “A Quiver of Arrows: Selected Technologies from the Gaugler Lab.”
It’s Winnipeg’s first time hosting the conference. A full schedule of the two-day program can be found on north-central-mosquito.org.
