Seven Charged with Preying on Vulnerable Women in City’s Sex Trade

Winnipeg Police CrestSeven men were arrested Thursday on suspicion of soliciting sex from vulnerable individuals.

Winnipeg police officers with the Counter Exploitation Unit conducted a project centred mainly in the West End of the city.

The project aims to target johns preying on those being exploited in the sex trade.

Seven men, ranging in age from 29 to 73, were charged with obtaining sexual services for consideration and released. The accused also had their vehicles seized.
