Three Winnipeg Blue Bombers players are visiting seven schools this week as part of Canadian Red Cross Pink Day.
Matthias Goossen, Thomas Miles and John Rush will present to more than 1,400 students.
Younger students will receive Bombers Tackle Bullying presentations in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, while high school students will participate in Break the Silence on Violence Against Women seminars.
“These are great opportunities for students to learn about how they can support their fellow students and be someone’s hero by standing up to bullying. It is also exciting to have the Winnipeg Blue Bombers join us in delivering these messages,” said Rebecca Ulrich, Canadian Red Cross provincial education manager.
Both programs are offered at no cost to the schools.
About 250 schools across Manitoba and Nunavut are registered to participate in Canadian Red Cross Pink Day.
