Homeowners facing financial or physical restraints can now apply to have the exterior of their property freshened up with a fresh coat of paint.

Take Pride Winnipeg’s annual “Brush Up Winnipeg” program is accepting applicants for paint days this June and September.

“Brush Up Winnipeg not only brightens up the house painted, it improves the curb appeal of the entire neighbourhood,” said Tom Ethans, executive director.

“Homeowners are often brought to tears at the sight of their newly painted homes. Their neighbours are often inspired to make improvements on their own homes following a Paint Day.”

The program has been responsible for painting more than 100 houses since it began in 2006.

The deadline to apply this year is May 31, 2018.
