Woman Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Swan River

RCMP Logo VehicleA 41-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Swan River on Thursday evening.

Emergency crews responded to the 1200 block of Main Street at around 5:20 p.m. and found the Shoal River First Nation woman was hit by a westbound pickup truck as she was crossing the street.

She was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and later succumbed to her injuries.

Alcohol is not a factor in the collision.

The 85-year-old Swan River man driving the truck wasn’t injured.

RCMP continue to investigate.
