The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Eagle Vision have opened up nominations for the 2018 Jack Jacobs Scholarship.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Indigenous high school students who plan on pursuing a post-secondary education and display a passion for football.

“We are pleased to once again partner with Eagle Vision and thank them for their contribution in making these scholarships a reality,” said Wade Miller, president and CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

“We hope this will be a great start in helping these students achieve their goals.”

The award was created in the memory of Jack Jacobs, legendary quarterback and Muscogee (Creek) Indigenous person, who played for the Bombers from 1950-1954.

The scholarships will be presented to the recipients during the August 10 home game.
