Talented local musicians may have a new audience if they win a coveted busk pass at The Forks.
Through a new partnership with Manitoba Music, The Forks is seeking out musicians to be a part of its Busker Program this year.
“The Forks has always been a place for performers, for entertainers to interact with visitors and have the chance to make their visit extra special,” said Paul Jordan, CEO of The Forks.
“This partnership with Manitoba Music is exciting because they are the expert eye for local talent, and we want to offer up our Busk Stops as stages for those looking to perform.”
Manitoba Music represents more than 800 artists in the music industry.
Applications for the 2018-19 program are open now until May 7.
Fun fact: Justin Bieber used to busk at The Forks, as did The Treble and Dust Rhinos.
