Charges have been formally laid against a driver accused of running over three children in northern Manitoba on Saturday night.
Todd Norman Linklater, 27, faces three charges of impaired driving causing death, as well as failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
Mounties say Linklater was driving a vehicle with four passengers on Provincial Road 620 near the community of Nelson House when he struck three children on the road at around 10:35 p.m.
Mateo Moore-Spence and Terrence Spence, both 11, and Keithan Lobster, who was 13, were hit by a vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene.
Linklater quickly fled on foot, but later turned himself into police.
He remains in custody and was to appear in Thompson court on Monday.
