Winnipeg Police CrestA pair of youth was arrested Tuesday night after Winnipeg police say they robbed a beer vendor at knifepoint.

The manager of a vendor in the 1100 block of St. Mary’s Road called police after a boy came in and tried to pay for a case of beer. When asked for ID, the suspect fled the store with the beer.

The manager approached the boys outside and was threatened with a knife by each of the suspects before they took off.

The tactical support team and Air 1 located the two in the first 100 block of Arden Place. Officers also recovered the stolen beer, a knife and clothing that had been ditched.

A 12-year-old boy and 13-year-old boy face robbery and weapons charges.
