A Brandon man is facing charges after he allegedly ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle while impaired on Monday.
Police say the two-vehicle accident happened at around 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of 18th Street and Princess Avenue when the Chevrolet pickup truck flew through the intersection heading southbound on 18th Street.
That’s when the truck collided with a Chevrolet Equinox travelling west on Princess Avenue through a green light The SUV was struck on the driver’s side. No injuries were reported.
The driver of the pickup truck took off on foot, but was later tracked down and arrested.
The 23-year-old man was held in custody until he was sober. He will appear in court later this month.
