One Person Killed in Northern Manitoba House Fire

RCMP Logo VehicleThe remains of one person were recovered from a house fire in the northern Manitoba community of Pukatawagan on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the residential fire on Amisk Drive at around 4:20 p.m. and were told one of six occupants may still be inside.

Once firefighters contained the blaze, they entered the home and found the remains of the deceased person. No other injuries were reported.

Pukatawagan RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner are investigating.
