The Original Pancake House is celebrating 60 years with some tasty promotions for customers.
The local restaurant chain is a staple on the pancake scene, providing a favourite gathering spot for decades. Building on the success of their original Pembina Highway location, they now have four locations throughout Winnipeg.
In honour of their 60th birthday, the Original Pancake House is rewarding their loyal customers with a variety of events.
60th Birthday Party (McGillivray Location Only)
Thursday, May 31 — 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
A FREE breakfast featuring the Original Pancake House’s signature pancakes, eggs and sausage. Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba will be on site selling fundraising balloons and donations are greatly appreciated.
Plus there will be free face painters and balloon artists for the kids (or kids at heart).
1958 Throwback Pricing (Pembina Location Only)
Wednesday, May 30 — 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Select menu items will be available all day at 1958 prices. How can you resist the Baby Apple Pancake for $1.99?
60 Cent Pancake Special (Forks Location Only)
Tuesday, May 29 — 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A steal of a deal – 3 pancakes for $0.60!
At 11 a.m. on the 29th, local celebrities will take part in a pancake-eating contest to consume the most amount of pancakes in five minutes. Utensils, syrup and butter are optional. Andrew “Hustler” Paterson from TSN Radio 1290 will emcee the event. The winner gets bragging rights plus a gift certificate for more pancakes.
