Boy, 6, Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash on Manitoba Highway

RCMP Logo VehicleA six-year-old boy has died following injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash in the RM of Hanover last month.

On May 31, an eastbound vehicle travelling on Highway 52 collided with a westbound vehicle attempting to make a left-hand turn onto PR 216.

RCMP say the 23-year-old area woman driving the first vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The 26-year-old St. Malo woman driving the second vehicle was also sent to hospital, but with serious non-life threatening injuries. Her son, who was a passenger in the vehicle, received life-threatening injuries and died in hospital on Monday.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
