Construction is underway on a six-storey, 135-room hotel in the bustling area of south Winnipeg.
Hyatt House Winnipeg Southwest will be located in the Seasons of Tuxedo area, near Outlet Collection Winnipeg, at 700 Sterling Lyon Parkway.

The hotel will boast 80 apartment-style kitchen suites, comfortable living rooms and spacious bedrooms, as well as 55 upscale guestrooms that feature a seating area with a couch and a king size or queen/queen bed.
“Hyatt House Winnipeg Southwest will bring a new and dynamic product to the marketplace and is a great example of our continued focus on growing premium hotels that will attract business and leisure travellers alike,” said Scott Richer, Hyatt’s vice-president of real estate and development for Canada.
The hotel is a joint venture with Kothari Group, who will be developing and managing the hotel. Otto Cheng will be the project’s principal architect.

Hyatt House Winnipeg Southwest will also include an indoor saltwater pool and fitness room, a lounge with an open and welcoming space for guests, as well as the Outdoor Commons, featuring a fire pit and BBQ. Back inside, the H Bar will serve up a sip and snack menu, including soups, sandwiches, beers and wines.
The property is expected to be open for guests in summer 2019.
