The Assiniboine Park’s trolley will begin providing free transportation at The Forks on Saturday.

Park and zoo visitors can hop on the trolley to head downtown, catching a ride at multiple locations throughout the park.

The Winnipeg Trolley Company owns the vehicle, which is designed and built to resemble Winnipeg’s heritage streetcars.

The trolley will pick up guests at the Lyric Theatre, Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, Nature Playground, and Assiniboine Park Zoo.

A live GPS-based tracking map shows the trolley’s whereabouts in real-time. The trolley will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends until the end of June, daily in July and August, and weekends only in early fall. A ride schedule is available by visiting assiniboinepark.ca.
