Man Leaves Bag of Drugs in Back of Taxicab: Police

Winnipeg Police CrestA man is facing drug possession charges after Winnipeg police say he left a bag of items in the back of a taxicab.

Officers spotted the suspect, who was wanted on a drug warrant, leave an address in the 500 block of Redwood Avenue on Saturday. He was arrested and found with approximately $1,200 in cash.

Police say the man left a personal bag in a nearby taxi and later retrieved it. Officers found 97 grams of methamphetamine worth around $9,700, six grams of marijuana, four grams of cocaine, a vial containing an unknown brown sugar-like substance, two fentanyl blotters, packaging material and a digital scale.

Ronald Brian Jackson, 30, faces several drug-related charges.
