WINNIPEG — A three-kilometre walk today is stepping up support for Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba.
The 4th annual Red Shoe Crew Walk kicks off from the Smartpark Event Centre on the University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus at 1:35 p.m.
“Our Red Shoe Crew Walk signature fundraising event responds to the needs of our families across Manitoba and beyond. All proceeds from the walk help to keep families together at our two core programs: Ronald McDonald House on Bannatyne Avenue and Ronald McDonald Family Room within the walls of HSC Children’s Hospital,” said Wendy Galagan, CEO of RMHCMB.
Participants are encouraged to collect pledges online or in-person, with 100% of funds raised going directly to RMHCMB.
Registration is at 1 p.m., with refreshments, cake and family-friendly entertainment scheduled from 2:20 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A similar walk last weekend was held in Brandon and Portage la Prairie.
