Goldeyes Sign Rookie Pitcher PJ Browne

Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoThe Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed left-handed rookie pitcher Paul James (PJ) Browne.

Browne will get his professional debut tonight when he starts against the St. Paul Saints.

A native of Rutland, Massachusetts, Browne recently finished his college career at Merrimack College and was 4-3 with two saves and a 2.21 ERA in 12 starts and three relief appearances for the Merrimack Warriors as a senior this past spring.

The Goldeyes also activated left-handed pitcher Josh Blanco from the disabled list.

The first pitch is 7:05 p.m. at Shaw Park.
