Goldeyes Sign Three in Number of Roster Moves

Winnipeg Goldeyes LogoThe Winnipeg Goldeyes made a number of roster moves over the long weekend.

The Fish on Monday signed veteran right-handed pitcher Juan Carlos (JC) Sulbaran, veteran infielder Tommy Mendonca, and catcher Tyler Baker. The Goldeyes also activated left-handed pitcher Shane Dawson from the inactive list.

The club also announced left-handed pitcher Josh Blanco has cleared waivers and is now a free agent, while rookie first baseman Jamey Smart has been placed on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release.

The Goldeyes are in action today in game two of a three-game series against the Sioux City Explorers at Shaw Park. Opening pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
