Stretch of Graham Avenue Closed to Vehicles for Two Years

City of Winnipeg LogoWINNIPEG — A portion of Graham Avenue is now a transit-only stretch of road for the next two years.

Graham between Main Street and Fort Street will be used for Winnipeg Transit only and is completely closed to all other vehicles until July 2020.

The city says the closure of the westbound direction of travel is required for the 300/330 Main Street new tower construction project. The two north-side lanes will serve as a delivery area for all trucks bringing materials to the site during construction.

The two south-side lanes will be used for transit service only while the two north-side lanes are closed. Buses travelling west will use the south-side median lane, while buses travelling east will use the south-side curb lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained on the south sidewalk. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes.
