Two men were injured early Sunday in separate incidents in Portage la Prairie.
RCMP responded to the area of 17th Street NW at around midnight, where they found a 20-year-old man who had been shot. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Police also found an 18-year-old man nearby who had been seriously assaulted. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgrade to stable.
Police say both victims are from Portage la Prairie and they don’t believe either incident was a random act.
No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate.
